Join the Catholic Art Institute

Are you a visual artist, designer, architect, educator, crafts-person or art lover looking to join a community of like minded Catholics and attend events focused on the catholic visual arts? If so, then please consider joining the Catholic Art Guild by completing the form on this page.  

 

The Catholic Art Guild will be hosting monthly events at St. John Cantius which will focus on the Catholic visual arts. We will build the community through educational and networking events which will be focused on the philosophy of aesthetics, art, beauty and evangelization. We are operating under the Charism of the Canons Regular so our mission is tied to the "Restoration of the Sacred" in art.

 

We will also be offering unique, skilled based workshops, a juried art competition and exhibition as well as an annual conference .  The competition will be juried in order to support excellence, a hallmark of the liturgy and music programs at St. John Cantius. Spiritual Benefits

  • Members of the Catholic Art Guild are enrolled in the Mass Association of the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius and will receive a special Mass Enrollment Certificate. 

  • As spiritual partners, members will share in the the ministry of "Restoring the Sacred" of the Canons Regular, especially as it relates to Art.

  • Weekly Mass (1962 Missale Romanum) offered by the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius Mass Association remembers your intentions and work as Catholic Artists.

  • Members share in the spiritual benefits of the daily celebration of the Divine Office and the recitation of the Holy Rosary offered by the Canons Regular of St. John Cantius.

  • A special Mass (1962 Missale Romanum) will be offered annually for the living members on the Feast of Pope St. Pius V (May 5) and on the Feast of Pope St. Pius X (September 3).

  • Grace from the Holy Mass & prayers from fellow members

  • Members share in the graces and prayers of their fellow artists as they support each other in their good works and prayers.
